A Dutch Bros gift card works on the whole menu — coffee, cold brew, Rebels, frosts, teas, smoothies — and on merchandise like tumblers and mugs. It comes in two forms, physical and digital, both reloadable and both usable at any participating shop in the US.
Checking your balance
Three routes, all of them quick. You need the card number and PIN for the online check.

The app is the least friction of the three — once a card is loaded into your account, the balance is just there, and it updates as you spend.
Gift card prices and denominations
Cards are sold in fixed denominations rather than custom amounts. Physical and digital cards both top out at $100; digital starts a step lower at $10.

Physical vs digital
Physical cards carry seasonal and limited-edition designs — Christmas, birthdays, holidays — and some can be personalised with a name or short message. They range from $10 to $100 and are the right pick when the card itself is the gift.
Digital cards — e-gift cards — send by email or text and arrive instantly, which makes them the last-minute option. Same $10 to $100 range, same reload and balance-check behaviour. They are redeemable in shops and in the app.
How to buy

Buying in the app has one advantage the other two do not: the card lands in your account immediately, so you can pay with it and collectDutch Rewards points on the same order.
Reloading and activating
Reload a card any time — online, in the app, or at the counter. Choose an amount, pay, and the balance updates immediately. Reloading keeps the card earning rewards rather than starting over with a new one.
To activate a new card, load it into the app:
- Open the Dutch Bros app and sign in, or create an account.
- Tap More in the bottom right, then Gift Cards.
- Tap Load Gift Card.
- Enter the gift card number and Reg Code (PIN), or scan the QR code on the card.
- Confirm. The balance appears in the app and is ready to spend.
Paying is then either card or app: present the physical or digital card at the window and the order total comes off the balance. If the order costs more than the card holds, you cover the difference with another payment method.

The two that catch people out: gift cards cannot be combined with promotions or rewards offers, and a lost card is genuinely lost. Load it into the app as soon as you get it and the balance is tied to your account rather than to a piece of plastic.
