Dutch Bros does not discount much. There is no happy hour, no coupon codes and no refills — the savings live almost entirely inside Dutch Rewards, and the promotional days that do exist are mostly charitable rather than cheap. That is worth knowing before you go looking for a code that was never issued.

The rewards maths
Three points per dollar means a $6.50 medium earns about 20 points, so a free medium at 250 points arrives after roughly $83 of spending — a little under 13 drinks. The genuinely useful detail is the gap between the two thresholds:
- 250 points — a free medium, around $6.50 of value.
- 325 points — a free drink at any size up to 32 oz, around $7.50.
Seventy-five extra points for a bigger cup is a better trade than buying the size difference with money. If you normally drink larges, redeeming at 250 is the trap. The full breakdown is on the rewards page.
Deals that are not real
Six things people search for that Dutch Bros does not do:
6 drinks
| What people expect | The actual position |
|---|---|
| Chain-wide happy hour | There is no standing happy hour. Discounted windows appear as app offers, not as a fixed daily deal. |
| Free refills | Not offered. Drinks are made to order in a drive-thru with no seating. |
| A public coupon code | Offers live inside the app and are tied to your account — printable coupons are not part of the model. |
| Guaranteed student or military discount | Not a chain-wide policy. Some shops do their own; ask locally rather than assuming. |
| Points that never expire | Dutch Rewards points expire 180 days after they are earned. |
| Stacking two rewards | Generally one reward per transaction. |
No drinks match that filter.
Everyday ways to spend less
These work every visit, with no promotion involved — and together they matter more than any single free drink.
| Move | What it saves |
|---|---|
| Hold out for 325 points | Redeem a 32 oz instead of a 16 oz for 75 more points |
| Order the large on the cold-cup line | 32 oz for about $1 more than 24 oz |
| Skip the paid add-ons | Alt milk, extra shots and boba add $0.50–$1.25 each |
| Use the free modifications | Sugar-free syrup, half sweet and light ice cost nothing |
| Drop to a small on espresso drinks | You lose milk, not coffee — a small still has a full shot |
| Order tea or an Americano | The two cheapest full-size drinks on the board |
| Load a gift card before you order | Keeps spending visible and still earns points |
Full pricing per category, including what each add-on costs, is on theprices page. If you are buying for someone else, gift cards still earn points when the recipient scans their own Dutch Pass.
